Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a quick mid-month update on performance for May through July across all our Casago Rocky Point resorts. Overall, the numbers look really solid. We currently have 12,709 nights booked for the May–July period, compared to 8,665 during the same timeframe last year. This represents an increase of 4,044 nights, or approximately 47% growth. By month, May is up 2,113 nights (47%), June is up 1,192 nights (40%), and July is up 739 nights (62%). We’ve also seen strong booking activity so far in May, with 1,132 new bookings totaling 3,660 nights at an ADR of $233.56.
On the rate side, ADR is running slightly lower than last year (roughly 2–5% depending on the month). This is primarily due to the coupons and discount promotions we’ve been running, which have been effective at driving the higher booking volume we’re seeing. Overall, it has been a worthwhile trade-off.
Encouragingly, travelers continue to book despite elevated gas and food prices, et.al. We are noticing some guests opting for slightly shorter stays to manage to their budgets, but demand remains strong.
Please keep in mind that these figures represent the combined total across all Casago Rocky Point resorts. While many properties and owners are experiencing strong results, others are seeing more moderate performance. We continue to work hard to drive bookings for every unit.
Casago remains optimistic about the balance of the season and we will continue to keep you updated. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Thank you for being a Casago partner.
